IF it happened to your 66 year old dad in Batu caves what would you have done?



Sad Tragedy that could have been avoided if only management took public safety seriously.

Batu Caves Kuala Lumpur, another tragedy struck when the main signage of Batu Caves fell on its devotees on Thaipusam day. Around 230 pm the main welcome signage that reads “welcome to Thaipusam carnival” was blown away and it fell on the devotees causing them serious injuries . Management might have focus on cutting cost leading to unsafe building substandard.
A 66 year old Malaysian Indian man and few identified Indian nationalist fell victims.  The 66 year old man who is supposed to be celebrating his birthday next week will be doing so with a total of 9 stitches on his head and neck. He is also suffering back and neck pain as the signage fell straight onto his head and back. The Doctors stationed at the venue managed to stop the bleeding on the head but the gash on the ear was bleeding profusely and he was rushed to the General Hospital in Kuala Lumpur.  He required 9 stitches on his head and ear.
The victim just wants to be known as Mr T, he said it all happened in a split second, and thank God it did not happen to an elderly or a pregnant lady. He would also like to thank the doctors and medical team who was station in Batu cave for their help. He is now warded and doctors have been asked to monitor for 48 hours for swelling or bleeding in the brain and neck injury. There are cautious because he is also a diabetic patient. He was supposed to undergo a cataract operation in Shah Alam Government Hospital next week.
